Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised there. But, she relocated from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island before the conclusion of her junior high year. There are two of her younger siblings as well as an elder brother. She began her career in the field of entertainment at nine years old and did modeling. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among the actors that received this training. Her first role was in Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to relocate from Beverly Hills to Los Angeles. She was cast as the main character in Johnny Mnemonic in which she performed almost all her stunts by herself. She also established herself as a talented actor. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to get a regular part in the show Friends.
